Camp Shady Cove: Where The Girls All Have Polished Toes

Today the girls and the boys split up. The guys all got up at 5:30 and went fishing at Diamond Lake. Each of the boys caught a nice size fish with Adam catching the largest. We will have trout for dinner tomorrow.

The girls had a craft day. It started with Aimee giving Leah a pedicure then we made hair clips out of silk flowers and finally each girl had a project of her own to do. Aimee was painting a paper lantern and Leah was painting blocks to make a decoration that said smile neither of them finished their project today.

The kids spent the afternoon playing Mario Kart on the Wii racing against each other. Leah is the clear leader at Mario Kart. Which ever team she is on always wins. So they argue about who gets to play with her.

My nephew Elijah has serenaded the house to sleep tonight with his guitar. I surely do appreciate the investment his parents made in teaching him to play. He is very good and a pleasure to listen too.

All is well at Camp Shady Cove where the girls have polished toes and the boys have fishing stories to share and compare. The music notes float through the camp on crisp night air. Yes, all is well at Camp Shady Cove.
