Stuart’s Haunted Mansion Room

IMG_0630

When Stuart was 2 and 1/2 we began preparing the nursery for his new baby sister and to make sure that he felt just as loved and treasured as his new sibling we also remodeled his room.  It was Thomas The Tank Engine and he loved it. So, did I.

Sad to say but finally he did grow up and although the Thomas stuff has been gone for awhile the rolling hills in the background remained.  We had talked a long time and asked him what kind of ideas he had for a big boy room and finally Steve and Stuart decided upon theming it after his favorite ride at Disneyland “The Haunted Mansion”.  This past few weeks Steve has stealing time to try and get it done.  Steve always out does himself with making unique one of kind items.  Before it was the Thomas Characters he painted and created out of plywood.  This time around it was the clock in the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland.  Below is a picture of the real one and the one that Steve made.  Very close replica.

They put in many more details along with a mural on the wall that Steve again painted.

They finally finished it up last night and took a video to show the room off.
